I'm an ordinary commuter. Like a few hundred other people, I travel down to London via Bletchley station Monday to Friday. I have been travelling on this line for 20+ years so have seen the service operated by British Rail (Network South East), North London Lines, Silverlink and London Midland.
I've been around for long enough to have commuted on 'proper trains', electric locomotives pulling BR MK1 corridor carriages (I freely admit to having been a trainspotter in my youth!)
Like many people I've experienced really lousy service on the line between Bletchley/Milton Keynes and London. What I will say though is that 95% plus of the railway staff that I've come across at Bletchley, Euston and on the trains themselves have been helpful and committed to doing a great job. Unfortunately, their management so often seems to let them down.
This blog will highlight the good and the bad in terms of my own commuting experience. If other people find this site and add their own comments then I'm hoping that at some point London Midland etc might find it also in which case it might help their management to see what is and what isn't working.
If no one finds this site then I still think it'll help - I've discovered already that writing is a great stress-reliever ;-)
